1. What PageWatch does

PageWatch is a local-first browser extension that monitors web pages you choose and notifies you when their content changes. It is a free, local alternative to hosted monitoring services.

2. Data stored on your device

PageWatch stores the following only in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device:

• The URLs of pages you choose to monitor, and their check intervals and notification settings;
• Page snapshots used solely to detect changes between checks.

This data never leaves your device except as described in section 3. We operate no servers and receive none of your data.

Checking a page sends a normal web request to that site, as if you visited it yourself — the site sees the same URL, IP address, and request headers as any regular visit. Your monitoring list, snapshots, and settings are not sent to anyone.

3. Optional push notifications (v1.1+)

If you enable phone push, PageWatch can send change alerts to an ntfy.sh topic or Telegram bot that you configure yourself (your own topic name / bot token / chat ID). In that case, alert messages travel directly from your browser to the service you chose. We do not relay, store, or see these messages.

4. What we do NOT collect

• No accounts, no sign-in, no personal identifiers;
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind;
• No advertising identifiers; no data sold or shared with third parties;
• Your monitored page list is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

5. Permissions used and why

• storage — save your monitored pages and settings locally;
• alarms — run scheduled page checks in the background;
• notifications — show change alerts on your device;
• tabs / activeTab — read the content of pages you asked to monitor, solely to detect changes.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.

1. PageWatch 是什么

PageWatch 是一款本地优先的浏览器扩展：监控你指定的网页，内容变化时通知你。它是托管式监控服务的免费本地替代品。

2. 存在你设备上的数据

PageWatch 只在你自己设备的浏览器本地存储（chrome.storage.local）中保存以下数据：

• 你指定监控的网页 URL、检查频率与通知设置；
• 用于比对变化的页面快照。

除第 3 条所述情形外，这些数据绝不离开你的设备。我们不运营任何服务器，也接收不到你的任何数据。

检查页面时会向该网站发送一次普通网络请求，就像你自己打开它一样——网站看到的 URL、IP 地址和请求头与正常访问无异。你的监控清单、快照和设置不会发给任何人。

3. 可选的手机推送（v1.1+）

如果你开启手机推送，PageWatch 会把变更提醒发往你自己配置的 ntfy.sh 主题或 Telegram 机器人（你自己的主题名 / Bot Token / Chat ID）。此时提醒消息从你的浏览器直达你选择的服务，我们不中转、不存储、也看不到这些消息。

4. 我们不收集什么

• 无账号、无登录、无个人标识符；
• 无任何统计、遥测或使用行为追踪；
• 无广告标识符；不出售、不与第三方共享任何数据；
• 你的监控页面清单永远不会传给我们或任何人。

5. 权限用途说明

• storage — 在本地保存你的监控页面与设置；
• alarms — 在后台按计划执行页面检查；
• notifications — 在设备上展示变更提醒；
• tabs / activeTab — 读取你指定监控的页面内容，仅用于检测变化。

6. 政策变更

本政策如有变更，将在此 URL 发布新版本并更新生效日期。
